Ethics Committee

The creation of an ethics committee for TOMA represents for sure an important goal taking in consideration the increased attention dedicated to moral issues more and more present in scientific studies of such important matters and systems. The knowledge of this complexity is a great resource for humanity when it is pursued with the policies that have always defined our work and that, until now, we never had the necessity to point out, being always present in our daily work procedures. In this time of extraordinary development of science and technologies, research applied to genetics can promote a deal between the world of research and business, providing products and processes important for health care. The Community Strategic Guidelines, connected to the Lisbon strategy, represent the basis of the new cycle of structural funds programming period 2007-2013 and of those estimated until 2020. these guidelines indicate research and innovation as the main goals for a long term and balanced development that is able to improve the health not only of the European population but worldwide.
